Sylvain BédardPresidentSylvain Bédard, President of L-3 MAS, has over 25 years of experience in the aerospace and high technology industries. Mr. Bédard previously served respectively as Acting President and Vice President of Operations at Bombardier Aerospace – Defence Services, which was acquired by L-3 Communications in 2003. Prior to joining Bombardier Aerospace, Mr. Bédard served as Vice President of Operations and Officer at the Canadian Marconi Company. He also held a series of senior management positions with Nortel in operations and engineering and has a proven track record for improving performance. A graduate of the École Polytechnique Montréal, Mr. Bédard holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Management Diploma from the École des hautes études commerciales. Aware of the employment challenges facing young people today, he co-chaired the 2006 Aeronautics Career Fair, an event aimed at promoting careers in the aerospace industry. He also sits on the boards of associations related to aerospace and defence, namely the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries, the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada, and Aéro Montréal. Mr. Bédard is involved in his community and active in several charitable associations, including the board of the Fondation de l'Hôpital régional de Saint-Jérôme. |

Michel PotvinVice President, OperationsMr. Potvin has over 20 years of executive, project management and engineering experience. His leadership experience as an operating executive, includes roles as President, Vice President, and General Manager, leading businesses in various industrial technology sectors. Most recently, he held the position of Vice President at Invensys Process Systems where he successfully implemented a business performance improvement program for North America and Europe. During his years with the Invensys group, he held several senior executive management positions including President of APV Canada, Vice President of the Engineering Service Division at Foxboro Canada and Vice President of Field Service Operations for the U.S. and Canada. Before joining Invensys, Mr. Potvin served as General Manager – Europe, Director of Engineering, and Project Manager for Securiplex, a subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin. He began his career at Lockheed-Martin Canada (formerly Paramax) where he held several engineering and project management positions. Mr. Potvin holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, and also attended graduate school at Université du Québec à Montréal for a Masters and Project Management, and at Queens University for an Executive Finance Program. |

Major-General (ret.) Richard BastienVice President, Business DevelopmentMr. Bastien completed a successful 35-year career with the Canadian Forces, culminating in his final appointment as Second in Command of the Air Force. During his military service, Maj.-Gen. (ret.) Bastien held a number of internationally-based CF positions, including Commander of the Defence and Liaison Staff in the United Kingdom, and Defence Attaché for UK and Ireland. Robin St-ArnaudVice President, Contracts and Legal AffairsRobin St-Arnaud joined L-3 MAS in March 2008. He brings more than 20 years experience in commercial and private International Law, the first 12 as a private practitioner and thereafter, as senior management to open and closed corporate entities. Immediately prior to joining L-3 MAS, Robin St-Arnaud held the position of Vice President, Legal Affairs and Government Relations, General Counsel and Corporate secretary for Oberthur Gaming Technologies, a world leader in the programming and printing of instant lottery tickets until its acquisition in May 2007. After completing a first degree in Public Administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal, he attended the National Program at Ottawa University and graduated from the Faculté de Droit, section droit civil in 1990. |

Michel BoulayVice President, FinanceMr. Michel Boulay has close to 20 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant for the company. He started as an Internal Accountant for Bombardier Inc. to then pursue his career as a Financial Administrator at Canadair/Bombardier Inc. In 1997, he became Manager, Finance, and is promoted to Director in 2001. He is finally promoted to Vice President in 2007. Paul MercierSenior Director, RAAF and UAV ProgramsPaul Mercier has 31 years in the aerospace environment. Following an exciting military career as a Military Aerospace Engineering on Fighters and Helicopters, he joined Bell Helicopter in engineering and project management. He then joined Bombardier Defence Services in 1997 in engineering business development and program management. Paul has since assumed roles of increasing responsibilities where he became Director of Public Relations, Strategic Planning, Six Sigma, Business Development, Programs and UAVs. His most recent appointment has been to lead the Australian portfolio with a clear mandate to grow the F/A-18 business down-under. Paul has a BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College. |
